Another blast of Arctic air is heading into Northeast this weekend, bringing coldest temps of season so far coupled with dangerously cold wind chills

North Texas will enjoy a mild Thursday with highs near 59 degrees, but brace for a major chill with possible snow as an Arctic cold front arrives Friday night.

After a brief warm-up, North Texas will see a significant cold front this weekend, bringing temperatures in the 20s and the potential for light snow.

The I-25 corridor can expect mild temperatures Thursday. But by Friday afternoon, the cold front will roll in, delivering snow and subzero temperatures.

Today serves as the calm before an active few days, as a major pattern shift arrives. It’ll be a milder day with plentiful sunshine, and temperatures are expected to reach the upper 30s to mid 40s.

Another Arctic blast has been forecast to bring frigid air to a large section of the United States later in January.

Temperatures will slowly rise toward climate-normal levels this week. But another strong arctic cold front will blast through on Saturday.
