The carriage dispute that seemingly had no end in sight came to a surprising conclusion Thursday when Comcast announced the Big Ten Network will be available on a basic tier along the West Coast. The company issued the following statement:

Through the first six weeks of the college football season, Comcast/Xfinity customers were unable to watch Big Ten Network on the West Coast.

According to a message released from the Big Ten Network, fans will be able to watch Big Ten Network games on Xfinity TV, starting this weekend. Fans of Oregon, UCLA, USC and Washington will be able to watch the games this week on Xfinity.

Comcast/Xfinity and the Big Ten Network reached an agreement to bring the channel to a lower tier cable package.

Comcast's carriage dispute with FOX came to an end Thursday, and West Coast fans will now be able to watch Big Ten Network starting this weekend.
