CHENNAI: The BJP-led Union govt has insulted the family of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by preventing them from performing his last rites at a befitting site, Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin said on Saturday.

The row over Dr Manmohan Singh's cremation and potential memorial escalated today after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused the Centre of "insulting" the memory of the former prime minister.
