A window at a Chanel store on the Upper East Side was shattered by two sledgehammer-wielding men Sunday evening, cops and sources said. Photos show shards of glass littering the sidewalk in front of the high-end retailer at East 64 Street and Madison Avenue after the brazen attack around 7 p.m.

Two fashionistas-turned-criminals used sledgehammers to smash the window of an NYC Chanel store to steal pricey purses. Thieves broke into a Chanel store on the Upper East Side on Sunday stealing handbags and damaging a window on the store’s front, according to the NYPD. Two people used a sledgehammer to break a window and took three purses before getting away,

Two sledgehammer-wielding men smashed their way into the Chanel store on Madison at 64th Street at around 7pm on Sunday and stole the designer purses valued at $10,000 each. The suspects then allegedly fled on foot.
