The debut episode of Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will feature some familiar faces. Annie Potts, who played Connie Tucker, Sheldon and his siblings' Meemaw, and Zoe Perry, the actress behind Mary Cooper,

Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones both joined Young Sheldon in season 6, playing Mandy's parents Jim and Audrey McAllister, respectively. While they were guest stars on the comedy-drama, they have been upped to series regulars on the spin-off Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage!

Rachel Bay Jones won a Tony, an Emmy and a Grammy for playing the heartbreaking mother in “Dear Evan Hansen.” Now she’s a mother-in-law in “Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage.”

As fans will recall, George Sr. died in the final episodes of Young Sheldon from an unexpected heart attack. Now, as Georgie faces the challenge of being a young father and husband, that element of grief will be included. One way it will be featured is through Missy’s ( Raegan Revord) return as she gets into trouble at school.

The Big Bang Theory universe is expanding again — while also returning to its sitcom roots — with Young Sheldon spinoff Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage (premiering Thursday, Oct. 17 at 8/7c on CBS).
