Missouri football made a change in its offensive game plan Saturday. Namely: The Tigers had one. Now, can Mizzou carry that back into SEC play?

The Tigers bounced back from their Texas A&M loss with a comfortable 45-3 win in Amherst over the UMass Minutemen. Unlike last week, Mizzou showed complete control right out the gate, led by Luther Burden’s 61-yard rushing touchdown in the first minute of the game. From there, the Tigers never let off the gas.

Missouri and UMass signed a contract for a home-and-home series in 2018, when Jim Sterk was the Tigers’ athletic director. Saturday’s matchup is the first game of that agreement, with the Minutemen set to make a return trip to Columbia for a game on Oct. 18, 2025.
