The Notre Dame women’s basketball team held its local media day Thursday. Irish fans undoubtedly were anxious to hear updates about injuries to numerous players ahead of the team’s open practice Friday. While the updates were in fact there, not all of them were positive.

The college basketball season is less than a month away, as the Notre Dame women tip off their year in the beginning of November. The Irish are coming off a Sweet 16 appearance, but this year they have their sights set on much more as they have brought back several starters and added some key transfers.

We now know when the Notre Dame women’s basketball team will be playing Purdue and USC — and which networks to watch those games on. The first Fighting Irish away game of the season will be at Purdue on November 10, and that game will be broadcast on FS1 at 7 pm EST.

Notre Dame women's basketball guard KK Bransford has announced that she will red shirt this season to deal with a lower leg injury. Bransford announced her plans on X (formerly Twitter) Monday night. In September, teammate and four-year starter Maddy Westbeld announced that she would miss the beginning of the season with a lingering foot issue.

Tipoff times and television designations for two Notre Dame women’s basketball 2024-25 non-conference games were set on Wednesday. The Fighting Irish will play Purdue at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 10,
