The child was found after the U.S. Marshals Service Puerto Rico Violent Offenders Task Force was asked for assistance from authorities in Connecticut.

U.S. Marshals reported that they recovered an abducted 4-year-old Hartford boy after he was found in Puerto Rico.

A 4-year-old child who was kidnapped by their mother in Connecticut was found in Puerto Rico, and has been returned to their father, according to an announcement Tuesday by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Task force members found and safely recovered the child residing with the mother's boyfriend in Puerto Rico, U.S. Marshals said.
