Florida State University’s (FSU) main campus was not affected by Milton. But FSU closed its facilities in Sarasota, including the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, and regional medical campuses in Sarasota, Daytona Beach, Orlando, Immokalee and Fort Pierce.

Based on the current forecast of Hurricane Milton, all in-person classes & events are canceled Oct. 7-11. Residential students must evacuate campus and follow their Hurricane/Emergency Evacuation plan. The campus will close at 5 p.m. Oct. 8.

Hurricane Milton is causing schools, government agencies and businesses across Central Florida to decide whether to close or remain open during the storm.
