World Mental Health Day is Thursday, Oct. 10. This year's theme is "Mental Health at Work," a campaign bringing attention to safe work environments.

“The overarching aim of our mental health initiatives, including wellness days and mental health first aid training, is to remove barriers to accessing support, and creating a culture where mental health is openly discussed and that employees feel like the business is prioritizing them,” Scheepers continued.

“One common mental health stigma that I’d like to see addressed on World Mental Health Day is the misconception that seeking therapy means you’re weak or broken,” says Dr. Brooke Keels, the Chief Clinical Officer at Lighthouse Recovery, an addiction treatment center in Texas.
