Microsoft has pulled its $1 Xbox Game Pass trial, just days before Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 releases on October 25th. The 14-day Game Pass trial was removed on October 8th, preventing people from signing up for a trial and playing through the Black Ops 6 campaign without paying for a full month of Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass is losing another five titles on October 31, including a game that has been part of its library for half a decade.

Microsoft’s determination to destroy the great reputation of Game Pass continues apace, with the news that the corporation has suddenly pulled its years-long offer of a two-week trial subscription for a dollar, just a week before it adds Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to the subscription.

Microsoft has made the $1 Xbox Game Pass trial unavailable just as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's launch is around the corner. Microsoft is bringing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 to Xbox Cloud Gaming on its launch day (October 25). In addition, Modern Warfare III and the battle royale Call of Duty: Warzone arrive on the platform on the same day.

Xbox Game Pass has had some pretty big months over the past years with drops including games like Grand Theft Auto 5, but this second half of October brings a lineup that’s going to overshadow everything before it.

New Xbox Game Pass subscribers must pay $19.99 monthly to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as Microsoft removed the $1 trial.

Xbox Cloud Gaming is a feature included in a Game Pass Ultimate subscription -- which costs $20 a month. The feature is still in beta, but it allows subscribers to access and play certain games from the Game Pass library on other devices without an Xbox console.

Xbox appears to have removed the option to try Game Pass for 14 days for $1 in preparation for Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6's release.
