A victory over the Packers — and the game ball from his players — are about all Brown is expected to get out of his five-game stint as interim head coach. But he feels confident about his contribution under difficult circumstances.

The Chicago Bears intend to interview interim head coach Thomas Brown for the permanent job. Brown took over for Matt Eberflus, who was fired Nov. 29 after Chicago's 4-8 start. The Bears lost Brown's first four games in charge before ending a 10-game skid Sunday by beating the host Green Bay Packers 24-22 on Cairo Santos' last-second field goal.
