Marcus Carroll rushed for two first-half touchdowns and Mizzou led 24-3 by intermission. That advantage swelled to 45-3 through three quarters, and that proved to be the final score at Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium in Amherst, Mass.

Missouri football’s midseason trip to Amherst went as planned, as the Tigers improved to 5-1 with a comfortable win in the northeast.

The Missouri Tigers look to pick up the pieces from a 41-10 blowout loss to Texas A&M with a Week 7 road trip to face the UMass Minutemen.

The Tigers bounced back from their Texas A&M loss with a comfortable 45-3 win in Amherst over the UMass Minutemen. Unlike last week, Mizzou showed complete control right out the gate, led by Luther Burden’s 61-yard rushing touchdown in the first minute of the game. From there, the Tigers never let off the gas.

Missouri and UMass signed a contract for a home-and-home series in 2018, when Jim Sterk was the Tigers’ athletic director. Saturday’s matchup is the first game of that agreement, with the Minutemen set to make a return trip to Columbia for a game on Oct. 18, 2025.
