Millions in the Midwest and eastern U.S. were under freeze warnings early Wednesday morning as cold temperatures move in, according to the National Weather Service. Almost 37 million people from Kansas to as far east as New England were facing subfreezing temperatures Wednesday morning.

Temperatures in the low 30s on Wednesday morning could be deadly for crops and other sensitive plants in east-central and southeastern Wisconsin.

On Wednesday at 1:01 a.m. an updated freeze warning was issued by the National Weather Service valid for Wednesday between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges and Fayette Ridges.

The National Weather Service Green Bay has issued a freeze warning with temperature's below 30 expected between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. Wednesday. Parts of northeastern Wisconsin will be under the advisory,
