The Badgers opened the game with a strong defensive stop, holding the Scarlet Knights to only one first down on their opening drive. Star cornerback Ricardo Hallman dropped an easy interception on a 3rd-and-six pass from Rutgers QB Athan Kaliakmanis. Otherwise, the Badgers defense started the game in flawless form.
The timing of it all meant that Braedyn Locke had the pleasure of standing in front of reporters and answering questions about why he didn’t get the job. Talk about a tough assignment.
