Hyundai has collaborated with drifter Keiichi Tsuchiya for a special edition of the Ioniq 5 N. The Ioniq 5 N DK Edition benefits from chassis upgrades and a more aggressive aero kit. The “high-performance parts package” will become available in the first half of 2025.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is already one of the best performance cars on the market under $100,000, yet somehow the Korean automaker made it even cooler. Hyundai and The Drift King Keiichi Tsuchiya have teamed up to cook up a special edition Ioniq 5 N DK Edition that may be the sickest Ioniq 5 N yet.

The DK himself, Keiichi Tsuchiya, has a new ride with green trim and a big wing. The build will be revealed at Tokyo Auto Salon.

According to Hyundai Motor Company, the 'DK' in the Ioniq 5 N DK, which was unveiled at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon held at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, stands for Keiichi Tsuchiya's nickname 'Drift King'. The Ioniq 5 N DK Edition will be launched in South Korea and Japan in the first half of this year.

The Korean automaker unveiled this special drift-focused version, making the Ioniq 5 N even crazier through the corners.

On Friday, at the Tokyo Auto Salon, Hyundai attempted to make a smoky splash in the Japanese market by unveiling a special souped-up edition of its Ioniq 5 N, our Performance EV of the Year winner, called the Ioniq 5 N DK.

So, it sort of makes sense to see Hyundai want to team up with him for the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon, which kicks off tomorrow. The South Korean giant plans on presenting a DK Edition of its popular IONIQ 5 N performance electric vehicle (EV), but it's still unclear if we'll actually see that model in production form.

The 'Drift King' Edition, developed with help from drifting legend Keiichi Tsuchiya, gets a host of useful upgrades.
