Red Wings goalie Ville Husso still hasn’t played a 60-minute NHL game since Dec. 14. He didn’t pull his groin muscle again, but he did get pulled. Coach Derek Lalonde replaced him at 5:28 of the second period after he gave up three goals in a span of two minutes and 33 seconds.

DETROIT – Ville Husso eased concerns the Detroit Red Wings had about his health with a strong showing in training camp and the preseason. Husso was the only Red Wings goaltender to play two full games. He posted a 2.28 goals-against average and .936 save percentage in eight periods overall.

▶ Outlook: The Wings open the season against the Penguins, who started their schedule Wednesday against the New York Rangers. The Penguins continue to be led by the Hall of Fame core of Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Kris Letang and Erik Karlsson.
