New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson is expected to make his return to the court Tuesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves after missing the previous 27 games going into Tuesday night due to a left hamstring strain. The team has upgraded him to available after listing him as questionable following Monday’s practice.

Two-time New Orleans Pelicans All-Star power forward Zion Williamson is set to make his return from a two-month injury absence. A left hamstring strain has kept the 6-foot-6 superstar big man on the shelf since a Nov. 6 defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Pelicans (7-29) won their last two games, beating the Washington Wizards Friday in New Orleans and again Sunday in D.C. Trey Murphy was ruled “out” for Tuesday after spraining his left ankle Sunday.

The Pelicans announced that Williamson will return to the court on Tuesday for New Orleans' game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Williamson has missed the last 27 games with a hamstring strain. He's played in just six of the Pelicans' 36 games this season.

He has been sidelined since Nov. 6 and has missed the Pelicans’ past 27 games while recovering from a left hamstring strain.
