Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud gave words of encouragement to New England Patriots rookie Drake Maye, following his NFL debut as a starter on Sunday. Stroud was a major part of the Texans’ 41-21 victory over New England. He recorded 192 passing yards, three touchdowns and an interception on the afternoon.

So if anyone knows about how to succeed in the league as a newcomer, it's Stroud. Stroud took on the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Drake Maye over the weekend. It was the first career start for the New England Patriots quarterback and he looked good in the process. It was a little shaky at first for Maye but he rebounded pretty well.
